The food is hot and it is nutritional food so having run some catering services, I do find, sometimes, it is not what I would do. But it is still good food, and if you have a problem or anything, they try to accommodate you. One of the things that I found that was really remarkable was we have a lady whose family brought her over from France and, being French, she had wine with every meal. So they had the family bring the wine, and she gets a glass with her meals every night.
It is all on one floor, so you don't have to use an elevator or stairs, and it is huge. There is a courtyard in the very center. In fact, I found out that there are two courtyards, and you can go out there and sit and do whatever. And I noticed that there is a barbecue pit out there, so that means that they do have outside barbecues.

They were pretty much in isolated prison, as far as we're concerned. And that's where they would wander around and walk into other people's rooms, and urinate in a closet of somebody else's room. When you report the incidents to DADS the complaints come back "unsubstantiated". I don't know who Corporate is paying off but someone is lying. When there is an incident reported to staff it's blown off and nothing ever handled. My loved one was given someone else's meds for two days for a medical condition she did not have, but that was "unsubstantiated" also. Our loved one was checked on twice daily and things still happened that put her life in danger. I could go on and on about neglect and mishandling of residents but it does no good.
